“This is to recommend the construction and pre-occupancy cleaning services of Construction Cleaning Corporation (CCC). Having just completed the occupancy of a 221,000- sq ft, seven-story hospital addition, I can say with all confidence that CCC was a critical part of our success. In fact, for this project, they performed the construction cleanings for the contractor and then performed the final pre-occupancy cleaning for the hospital.

“The construction cleanings were outstanding, and the units were cleaner than I had ever before experienced when being turned over from the contractor. The final pre-occupancy cleanings were even more impressive. The building houses both Operating Rooms (ORs) and Intensive Care Units (ICUs), both of which require air and surface culturing prior to occupancy. The ICUs were occupied first, and the initial 20-bed unit passed the first round of cultures with flying colors – there were no rooms deemed unsuitable for occupancy. We then added eight more ICU rooms and experienced one room that did pass and two that were marginal. CCC stepped to the plate and quickly accomplished the re-cleans on our schedule and in coordination with the culturing agency. Those rooms did then pass, but more impressive was CCC’s aggressive and customer-focused approach to overcoming this hurdle.

“The final occupancy was of an 11-OR suite with a PACU and large Clean Core. This was over 34,000 sq ft of space that had to be cleaned and cultured. We took over 30 air cultures and 49 surface cultures, and these all came back with no problems. In fact, of the 49 surface cultures, 46 came back with no growth whatsoever – an amazing testament to the cleanliness of the surfaces. The air cultures were equally impressive with only a few samples indicating any type of growth and in all cases a benign type and very little of it. In short, they did a stellar job of cleaning this unit so that we could occupy before the holidays. In fact, they even accelerated of their own volition the cleaning process so the culturing agency could start a day earlier and thus have results back to us prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
